On Monday our group met at Erics house and began to finalise the 2nd draft for presenting the following day, the main focus of the day was to create typography for the main title of the film placed on the top of a title board, we originally had three fonts planned for this title, however unfortunately after effects (the program we were creating the title board on) was not compatible with these fonts. So we had to search for another similar font with the capability to be used in our editing software, the following is a brief walkthrough of how the title board and title was created (editing primarily done by Eric Hesselbo and assisted by myself).

The image on the left shows the After effects work behind the title. This features two lens flares, floating particles floating vertically and camera movements. All of these help to create the atmosphere needed to help to sell the effect.

This image shows the initial text. The text flies in from the screen and begins to rotate in the position of seen in the screenshot. The text is 3D and created in Cinema 4D. the lighting on the scene is created by the global illumination added which creates the reflections of the alpha channel scene which is not present in its surroundings.

Although this might be almost impossible to see in the titles this is a 'CC Lens' effect added to the text in After Effects. This creates a transition between the two texts from 'Infinite Presents' to the Missing title.

The main film title 'MISSING' the font used in this is 'double feature' I found this font while searching for a horror font on dafont.com, I thought the font suited a film logo/title as it helped to create a unique and original logo design. The font features drips and i think they help a lot with the three dimensional aspect of the title.

Finally this screenshot shows the movement of the title, this is the final part before entering the scene once again. the title flies towards the viewer or 'camera' with 3D effect. Perhaps this will create an opening atmosphere to the film with a fast moving title.
